Meg knew something was wrong the moment Jafar entered the house. He wouldn't meet her eyes.
"What's wrong, dearest?" She questioned.
"It's...Akil. He's dead." He said slowly.
"What? How?"
"Well darling I'm sure I don't know, I just found him in the courtyard as I left."
"Oh that's such a shame. He was a nice man."
"Yes...he was."
"May I ask why you're late?" She asked.
"Amara and I got caught up in what we were doing is all." He said quickly, pecking her on the cheek. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'll take a nap before dinner."
~~
At first, Meg didn't think much of her husband's odd behavior. Then she got an invitation from Amara. Now that was odd. Meg had always had a feeling that Amara didn't like her.
"Meg, isn't it?" The sorceress said.
"Yes." The former ballerina replied, taking a seat on the couch. "Um, may I ask why you invited me here?"
"Of course...you see, I wanted to talk about Jafar."
"Oh? Why?"
"He's improved greatly as a sorcerer."
"That's good to hear."
"Yes...however, I've been starting to think about you a lot lately. You're...relationship with Jafar to be specific."
"I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand."
"You're not good for him."
"I'm his wife." Meg shot back.
"He married you before he changed." Amara said with tight smile. "He doesn't need you anymore."
Suddenly it all made sense, coming home late, his avoiding her.
"You two are having an affair." Meg said quietly.
"Very good!" Amara said sarcastically.
Truth be told, this didn't really surprise her, but Meg felt sick. Sicker than she'd ever felt before.
"Now, here's what I want you to do." Amara continued. "I want you to go home."
"What will I tell him?" Meg asked hollowly.
"Whatever you think is best. Although he might go after you..." Amara thought for a moment. "I know! We'll pretend you've killed yourself. You write a note for him and then I can transport you back to your home."
Meg just nodded.
~~
When Jafar got home that night, Meg wasn't there. That's odd.
He lit a candle and saw a note on the table- Meg's handwriting.

My dearest Jafar,
I'm so sorry it had to end like this. It wasn't your fault, I want you to know that. I did this, it was my choice.
I know about you and Amara. I'm sorry I couldn't be the woman you needed. Forgive me
Goodbye my love,

Meg

Oh God. Slowly, Jafar sank into a chair. Meg had killed herself. Meg had killed herself. The words pounded in his head until he couldn't stand it. But how had she- Amara.
That bitch must've told her. Oh she was going to pay. He would make sure of that.
So, yeah...feels
