Description

Edmund Pevinse (Chronicles of Narnia)- In the beginning he was looking out for himself and trying to manipulate his siblings, but towards the end he realized his mistake and did his best to fix it.

Erik(Phantom of the Opera)- He's sneaky, clever, and has his evil moments, but he does it for love. Erik is similar to Snape it that way.

Faramir (Lord of the Rings)- Again, haven't read the books, but Faramir seems very Slytheriny to me.

Guy of Gisbourne (Robin Hood)- Guy goes after what he wants and doesn't care how he gets it.

Isabelle Thronton nee Gisbourne (Robin Hood)- Like her brother, Isabella knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take it.

Book Faramir is much more Gryffindor than Movie Faramir (Slytherin.) He listens to Frodo's tale, realizes Frodo has the One Ring (considered a lost treasure of Gondor) but resists the temptation that his brother Boromir failed to. He sends Frodo, Sam and Gollum on their way with - if I recall correctly - provisions and advice. No taking the hobbits captive (though he does take Gollum captive), no bringing them back unwillingly to Gondor, none of that stuff. I guess Peter Jackson felt it would be more dramatic to make Faramir eventually have a change of heart rather than make him the hero/opposite of Boromir from the start that Tolkien did.
